The chosen grounds for the golf course purchase were initially deemed suitable, yet challenges arose due to past use as a brickfield, with clay pits posing significant obstacles. Despite skepticism from committee members, diligent efforts and investment transformed these clay pits into picturesque holes. The original plan involved extensive construction contracted out to golf architect Sid Brews. The Club House project, dating back to 1941, faced setbacks due to wartime constraints and eventual destruction by fire in 1949. However, determination prevailed, and with the war's end in Europe, a fundraising campaign enabled the realization of the current Club House. Architects Messrs. Margo and Margo were initially appointed for the project. Despite initial setbacks, the perseverance of members led to the eventual construction of a new, modern facility to meet members' needs.
